If I'm doing Military Press is it pointless to do side raises the same day?

Or do they both work different parts of the deltoid?

On shoulder day I do Shrugs, Side Lateral Raise, Rear Bent-over Delt Raises, DB Front Raises, and just added Military Press.

Am I doing too much/little? :dunno:

On chest day if you're doing bench press is it pointless to do flys on the same day?

I usually either do Military Press or Shrugs first.

no, my point being that you usually do multiple exercises that work the same muscle with every workout. which means this thread is silly question.

    Gotcha.

I really just don't want to overwork my shoulders and cause an injury.

i do seated shoulder press, superset front/side raises, reverse pec deck, and one other usually..cable presses, arnold press, upright rows.

i don't do traps on shoulder day though unless i'm doing a 4 day split, then i usually cut out the last shoulder exercise and do barbell shrugs forward and reverse, and then on the hammer strength machine

I really just don't care for shoulder press.

I've tried it a few times and the movement just feels awkward to me :hsd:

    My split is like this:

    Legs
    Shoulders
    Back/Biceps
    Chest/Tris

(It's been a little different since I just added legs but this is what I will be doing for awhile)

Shrugs and front/side raises don't really help. The only good one is the rear delt raises.
