Say the following, "Hey doc, I want to get my hormone levels checked." They will probably try to talk you out of it but stick to your guns.

just go in and say that you feel tired all the time, having sexual problems, and that you find that you feel down sometimes for no reason

I just turned 27 yesterday. So I think I will say something along the lines of "Hey doc, I just turned 27 and I feel like I have been less energetic lately and my sex drive has been way down, a friend mentioned that its not a bad idea to get my hormone levels checked."

    sound good?

Id love to get a script for HRT but mostly I just want to get everything checked. If my test levels are normal I will be plenty happy.

    sounds perfect.

tell him you dont even think about sex anymore, you're stagnating in the gym, your energy levels are down, you're always tired.. get your testosterone levels checked.

    you know the drill

Sounds like me except the stagnating in the gym part. I'm still making gains, but the rest is spot on.

honestly, why bother BS'ing your Doc? I mean i don't go to doctors that often, but trust me they hear it all. They will respect the fact that you have some idea of what you are doing to yourself and talking about if you do a little research and safety measures.

anyone ever say "doc, Im thinking about using some anabolic steroids and I would like to check my hormone and liver levels as a precaution" and have the doc refuse to help out?

yeah, you might have to listen to 5 minutes of lecturing, but they are still going to help you out and now you can benefit from them actually knowing whats really going on.

They could lose their license if the insurance company ever found out

Seems like it could violate the hipocratic (sp) oath.

I call bs on that Chris. Doctors can't "report" you, that is a HIPAA violation. You could sue the everloving piss out of your doctor for doing that.

actually no it's not a violation. all they have to do is put what you said into the charts. we do stuff like that all the time. it's very legal.

why are you guys all such pussies about talking to your doctor? :ugh:

I straight up walk into the office and say "i want to get blood test for cholesterol and STD's." once a year with no problem... I don't see why I couldn't throw hormones into the picture and get any different reaction than "ok, here's a bloodwork slip, gtfo now"

So you think when your insurance company gets a bill it just say Medical Work - $40,1567. Insurance Companies know pretty much everything about you, its not a violation because you agree to it when you sign up with the insurance.

Now your doctor cant go blabbing it around to all his buddies that your on steroids, but if he doesn't tell the Insurance company why hes doing a blood test for Testerone, and they find out it was because of steroids the doctor is now up a shit creek.

i seriously doubt this. they are not aiding in any way. They are simply taking steps to keep you informed about your own health

I never really thought about the insurance thing and i guess i could see that.
