he is a leo and has his ffl and does builds for the leos.

I priced out everything here from the cheapest place I could find and the build came to 1450 without shipping or labor. If you want his contact info let me know and I will pass it along.

he contacted me about my upper I was selling and noticed he owned his own llc. We were going to do a build minus my upper. That was he price before he took the price of my upper off of it. Plus because he doesn't have a bm store he still gets everything as cheap as stores and online stores but doesn't jack up as much as you can see in the price, he's a dealer with vltor so..

I still say the mur upper is a waste of cash for this kind of build but... I'd also encourage you to consider a midlength gas system.

ok... umm I could build it myself and pay 200 more or have him do it and spend the 200 I saved on a surefire or something else.

why would it cost you 200 more to build it yourself

and his price seems a bit steep for what it is

Is this guy building this from parts he has laying around or something? You're going to take one of the nicest uppers made and pair it up with a Mega lower and a DPMS barrel?

these are all new not parts laying around. I didn't think it was hard to understand.

He is a leo that builds service ar rifles for his officers I guess he's the armorer as well. He has his ffl and he is a dealer but he does it out of his home cause he builds for the officers at the station. That price is what it would cost me and you using his discounts since he is a dealer. I went online and priced the same options he gave me as if I were to build it myself and buy from the cheapest places online and I would be saving 200 dollars if I let him build it.

The reaosn he wondered I imagine is that its unusual to chose to pair together a billet upper, something made for precision rifles, with a bottom rung barrel like a dpms. It seems more like something you'd do because you have the parts than something you would choose to do.
