if a hard drive isn't being recognised in bios .....

    can you still get at the data on it?

    i have one like that, the one i had in my pc, but took it out to take to work

    went to put it in a machine ..... nothing

    went to put it in another machine ..... nothing

    all the machines i've tried it with it isn't being recognised in their bios settings

    so ..... can i access the data on it?

    oh and it's been formatted and has an extended dos partition

    it's a quantum fireball 6.4gb btw

    You'd have to specify the cylinder, sectors..etc and see if the its picked up. All that info should be on the drive itself.

    You can also try freezing the drive for about 20 minutes if that doesn't work. It doesn't look good though.
