I didn't even know IE7 was released (it was released yesterday) until I came across this:

    http://slashdot.org/articles/06/10/19/1326247.shtml
    http://secunia.com/Internet_Explorer_Arbitrary_Content_Disclosure_Vulnerability_Test/

Bets are on: How many more of these will there be before Firefox 2 is released at the end of this month?

The funniest thing is, the very first comment of the slashdot discussion when IE7 was released yesterday: http://slashdot.org/comments.pl?sid=201495&cid=16495747
Security's supposed to be a big thing in IE7. Looks like it hasn't been going so well, but we'll see.

It must be standard procedure for IE vulnerabilities, it makes perfect sense ;)

Anyone liking IE7? It doesn't actually seem like a bad browser in terms of functionality, and I'm kinda intrigued by what I've seen on screenshots (I haven't used it, no). It looks like in terms of security it'll be same ol' same ol', nevermind what Microsoft says.

Even on Windows I'd probably consistently use Firefox (Firefox 2 (release candidate atm) that is) or even Opera faster though. Being (W3C) standards compliant, free as in freedom, cross-platform, secure and extensible are also weighed highly in my books - not just functionality and looks.

I just downloaded IE7 and am using it now. Seems OK. The button that thumbnails your tabs is pretty cool. I don't think I'll make it my every day browser because of security concerns.
