Right now on my parents computer they use IE for to "surf" the web and have the google toolbar installed but for some reason even when i have it to block pops up on, pop ups still get through. Now I just got back home for spring break and I installed Mozilla Firefox, the question I ask is would I run into problems if I uninstalled IE(outlook express or what not)? If I would what can I do to get rid of the fucking pop ups? Thanks

    Don't worry about uninstall IE.
Run Spybot and Adaware to make sure you don't have any spyware installed.

Mozilla will stop popups. And the Google toolbar should show if the popup blocker is turned on and have a counter showing each time it's blocked on.

Me personally I use Popup Stopper Free Edtion from panicware.com and it's never failed to stop a popup. Because it only allows 1 IE window to be open unless you hold down Shift or CTRL.

I wonder if the popups are being generated by a page you visted or spyware on the computer. Google only stops the former.

    have you tried updating ad-aware?

i've seen machines where ad-aware finds 100 or 200 pieces and then i update and it finds 400-500 more
