anybody have any experience with Internet Explorer and MIME types? basically i have my client app that i want started from a JSP on a server. I set the MIME type on the server to "application/x-myapp" but then how do i get IE to open my program automatically? I've messed around a little bit with the file types, but i can't seem to get it to work. It always tells me that it couldn't locate the correct application and asks me to open or save the file.. I want it to work like Adobe acrobat and just open the damn file... help?

i think your file type needs to be associated in windows, then it will pick it up

well, it's not. I've done some searching, and it always seems to ask me, even with the association. I think it's a little more complicated than that.
