made a simple dvd with a single screen for the menu. i used the theme called "reflection white" and added an mp3 to play (this resulted in a 3:30 menu screen, a little longer than i wanted)

the movie itself is an xvid that is 1 hr and 24mins.

i guess it was my menu setting that made it take so long?

i think it was because it needed to convert xvid to a mpeg2 (dvd format) before it actually burned.

video compression is as fun as watching grass grow...

at work, i convert TopGear divx files to dvd format for some of my co-workers, and on my quad g5 it takes about 2 hours total from start to finish
