GUN IDPA people

    Alright, so ive been checking out IDPA stuff. I want to go check one out soon I hope,

    Basic equip id need
    Holster
    mag holder
    i have 2 mags, do i need any more?


    Anyway. IF i want to get into this, about how much ammo do you go through in a match. Are they an elitest crew out there, or pretty forgiving to newbs.

    go download and read the IDPA handbook. this will keep you from getting yelled at by rangemasters.

    I've shot at a number of clubs, and if your local club is anything like any that I've visited here on the west coast, they are going to be very friendly with new shooters. Competitive shooters are some of the nicest, friendly and generally helpful competitors of any platform. There are certainly a few salty old shooters, but as always exceptions, rather than the rule.

    Let them know you are a new shooter, and they'll help you along minus any shouting, as long as you don't do anything grossly unsafe.
