did you try different placement/color schemes/etc with adsense? You can get much higher CTR's just from simple things like placement and color change

I have a video download (youtube download) site that I can't figure out how to monetize either lol. It's one of the few sites I have that I can't find any offers that the userbase will convert on.

adsense sucks cock, we get like 3-5$/day. with openx market, we do 50+

we'vep layed around with google's color schemes, but in reality, nobody clicks. openx does CPM, which is dope (also why we're running 3 leaderboards)

    they allow that?

I can't have adsense on my vid download site for a number of reasons. Sucks though, very simple site but getting about 2k uniques a day but making me nothing lol.

I feel like a failed "affiliate marketer" for not being able to figure out how to monetize a free 2k uniques a day lol

    using this: http://bodegasale.com/phpscripts/

    Here: http://vidgrab.com

I'm about to give in and just use CPM...gets decent pageviews. Valueclick wouldn't approve it though because you can search for anything, even "inappropriate" content and it shows on my site even though it's pulled from youtube. But I know some others probably would. I'd rather have it doing well with CPA offers though but too dumb to figure out the traffic lol.

openx is ad management tool, they recentlyo pened a marketplace for advertisers.

so, for our sites that wouldn't pass google's TOS, we run fling. publishers can choose to bid on our ad blocks, if they're higher than our set ecpm, their ad shows over our selected ads.

can you run openx and adsense together or is that against one of their rules?

openx is a ad management tool. adsense is an ad network. openx market is an ad marketplace.

i use openx to control which zones display which ads. adsense if my default. if an ad in openx market pays more than my ecpm for adsense, i choose to have it display openx market ads over adsense.

Which sponsors will let you use black hat? I'm worried about getting my accounts closed.

they have a rule that it can't blend in or some shit. You basically cant integrate them inside paragraphs/lists or anything and try to trick the users.

Ahh ok. I think I remember hearing about it now that I think about it. I was planning to set it up like a year ago but got too lazy and didn't want to go integrate the code throughout all my sites lol.

As Josh asked though, how is the marketplace? Is it pretty easy to sell out your inventory?

nope, you create ad zones and check a box that says (include in marketplace). you set your floor price to be the min amount you will let that spot go for. if someboy wants it, they'll pay. if not, your default ads run :o

fucking dope. PLUS, they host ads to 100mil impressions (then it's 1800/mo)
