ideal post workout shake?

    1 cup skim milk
    2 scoops ON whey
    1/4 cup frozen blueberries
    1/4 oatmeal
    1/4 cup fat free cottage cheese

    comes to about 500 calories, 6g fat, 38g carbs, 65g protein

    too much protein, not enough carbs for post workout?

    I like mine to have:
    1 cup whole milk
    couple ice cubes
    1 banana
    1 apple
    2 eggs sometimes w/ shell
    I may add peanut butter or a little ice cream if I need the additional calories
    Plus I always feel REALLY good a half hour to an hour after drinking this. Keeps your energy up really good if you train several times a day.

    I've been doing this lately:

    2 Scoops ON Pro Complex Strawberry
    14 oz. 1% Milk
    1 Banana
    5 Strawberries
    2 Tablespoons Peanut Butter
    1 Scoop Strawberry Ice Cream

    Put into the blender and mix......

    Tastes good, has like 750 Calories, 100 g, Protein, 25g Fat.........

    mine is two scoops whey in water with fish caps.

    i guess i should have more carbs in there somewhere. :hsugh:

    30g protein (whey)
    60g carbs (.5c oats, 1 banana)

    i usually take water + 1 scoop WPI + 2 tbsp. lecithin (sometimes with 1/2 scoop gatorade powder)

    As to why any of you fucks use milk is beyond me. Keep the milk out of your fucking post workout shake.

    STick to water, gatorade, dextrose, maltodextrin, whey protein.

    chocolate milk is considered to be an ideal post workout drink by many.

    Just for shits and giggles (as I read a lot of things the past few days saying the opposite), why should you avoid milk in a post workout shake?

    some type of whey or protein packet and an ultrafuel works for me...
