The idea is to sell artwork I made to whoever wants it online. The only problem is I don't have time to constantly send ppl the piece they want (if the idea even gets started). So I was wandering if there is a way for ppl to order something then receive it instantly...

Yes, you can automate something like that, easily. Very likely you can do it with Open Source software, which is 100% free.

If you're not tech savvy, I suggest you find someone who is, to help clarify your options in a manner you'll be able to easily understand.

Worse comes to worse you can have a hack make you a Joomla system with that exact functionality and a decent template that's easy to customize, probably for around USD$300.

Pretty sure he's referring to selling physical artwork and mailing it to them but selling it to them online. If that is the case, its not really possible to automate that.

I did not get that feeling, i was thinking he meant digital downloads

with that being said it would be possible, like someone else said, but most people will not pay a high price for a digital download compared to an actual drawing or painting

DeviantArt and I dunno how many other sites will let you post pictures that you can sell prints of. Or are you talking actual physical pieces, on canvas and whatnot?

That could be pretty lucrative too $$$$$. This guy http://www.vladstudio.com has almost a cult following, and I don't personally know his financial status, but I'm sure he's balling from that site.

I have no experience with wordpress. I do all my sites from scratch. Would I still be able to do it without using WP?...

    How so?...

Thats something very similar to what I want to do. Only my work is hand drawn and will be scanned (then maybe PhotoChopped abit)...
