Nothing yesterday and first formation today at 1255.
lol 2' of snow on the ground - snowing hard - work as per usual at drum.
People would die over 2' of snow here.
it's all good down south
finished everything that needed to be done by 1130. i love being an acting platoon sgt.
im home, didnt have to work, but the weather is keeping me from doing anything else
We had 3 hour delayed reporting, came in on time anyways but I'm going home early.
We ran for PT today....
I was in the field doing pre reqs for EIB Coming up and was told everyone back on base was getting the day off
nah..not as bad...Campbell
Nothing like this ever happened to me. I remember doing an FTX in the snow for three days. I also remember running through the snow with a SAW while doing rifle PT.
New Army? I remember my Squid days, up at Greats Lakes, being outside in sub-freezing temps and shoveling 4+ feet of snow....
Guess it's all relative to where your base/post is and their average yearly climate.
This was in Colorado. Our training intensified when we found out that we were going to Southwest Asia. The training I spoke of took place in 2005. Our unit was more relaxed in 2004 and 2007-2008. We upped our intensity in just about everything before we deployed. In 2005-2006 we were in Kuwait and were pretty high speed. We qualified twice on the rifle range and took two PT tests, all when it was 127+ degrees outside.
We got an inch or so earlier in the month and Lejuene closed down
Yeah, that was fucking stupid.
