The included something in the newer versions for n00bs called Nero Express, it's a matter of clicking on the Music CD icon and drag/dropping files.

See, here's what I think the problem is. On my old Burning program, it didn't matter how big the files were for the songs, they would fit on based on length. With Nero, it burns an image where it is larger than the disc. Am I doing something I shouldn't be? Or am I not doing something?

which nero?? if it's <6 then do this
open nero - burning rom from the start menu
    hit file-> new
you will get a new compilation window...in there, look to your right, theres new/cancel/wizard

    hit wizard
then choose the media, CD in thsi case, hit next
compile a new cd -> next
choose the kind, in this case audio-> next
    hit finish

then drag from the right hand side your files, to the left hand side, when your ready to burn, hit the write cd dialog button (middle of the buttons, look liks a cd with fire)...and you shoul dbe good to go

okay, so when I do that, it asks to save the image. So I select the G: drive (my CDR), and then it burns (and only takes like 5 minutes). Then when I check the disc in My Computer, it says:

Files Ready to be Written on the CD

Then it shows the image.nrg file.

    So......................................wtf?

when it asks to save for a file, from my experience that is because it did not detect your CDR drive..

choose recordrs from the menu then choose recorder and make sure you select your CDR drive

It doesn't, that's for image recording, it's just creating an image on your hard drive. Make sure your CD-RW is plugged in, and reboot and restart Nero.

What version of Nero are you using and what burner?
If the burner is newer than the Nero version, then you will probably need to update the Nero version to get it to recognize the burner.

nope, as jimbo suggested, update your version and try again

I presume windows detects the CDR drive since you said when you put the CD in it, it says 'empty cd' or whatever, therefore it should be working

I have nero 5, I'll download 6 and see how that works

but I was looking at my drivers for my CD devices, for my CDR, it only recognizes it as a DVD-ROM/CD-ROM..... but no driver for the CD-r....:(
