I workout 4 days a week, should I do legs?

    Keep in mind Im extremely new to hitting the gym heh. I know a lot of you dudes are probably all about working out legs, but I personally could care less about how my legs look. Im never going to be so big that my legs will look overly retarded on my body. Anyway, will i benefit if I start doing legs in the sense of upper body? Should i bite the bullet and do 1 day of legs each week. or just throw some sets in on my 2nd day of arms?

    No use in working out the lower half of your body, it only supports the upper half. Eventually you'll get your upper body so big your legs will just buckle under the sheer mass, you'll have to walk around on your hands like the rest of the large guys at my gym.

    :rolleyes: Not to be a dick, but im not a big dude. And I never will be. Id rather be a fat motherfucker then look like a juicehead. So like I said, Im not worried about how my legs look. Of course the first thing YOU will think of when you read what I say is a 250 pound dude with huge upperbody and chicken legs, but thats not who I am. Im just working out to look better and what not. I already have strong legs from hockey all my life. What im asking you guys is, will working out my legs improve my upper body in anyway?

    Why because I dont want to workout my legs? Not all people who go to the gym want to be professional body builders. I guess when I play PAL hockey I should start telling my teamates to just give it up, cause they aren't willing to train 5 days a week lol

    I know I get to use my legs more often than my biceps. So if you don't want to gain size, I dunno why you'd focus on your upper body.

    i go cardio, and that's more than enough for my legs. I can do a 40 min incline sprint which means that i can probably squat 400lbs.

    You don't need legs to play hockey, wtf are you talking about?


    To the OP, no, you don't need to do legs. If you're working out 4 days a week you should do biceps, triceps, chest then shoulders. Next week reverse the order.


    Almost forgot, do abs each weekday. This is very important.

    You've gotten your answer a ton of times already, quit trying to defend your point. You're lobbying for a half-assed approach to fitness in a FITNESS forum. Sweet fuck even most of the women that go to my gym train their legs and it's not because they want them huge/small/jacked/juicy, it's because it's the healthy and smart thing to do. Good god man.

    But you also use your arms 24/7! Especially that right hand. So basically you should only work out the left side of your upper body.
