The GSG looks to be way more fun to shoot, and of course way cheaper also
I kind of want one too but it's hard to justify the cost. I have a .22 for plinking and a high(er) power rifle. Next on my "to buy" list is either a shotgun or a pistol caliber rifle (9mm MP5 clone or AR)
Then again if I shot a GSG5 I'd probably want one.
cost not justified. Go buy a marlin .22LR and call it a day.
9mm AR clone would be nice, tho.
Just get a real MP5 clone
That said it would be cool to take a 10/22 receiver and somehow put it in a MP5 airsoft body or something. I remember someone did that but with a G36 body.
what would you do for a magazine?
its half the price and ammo is even better. for a fun plinker, why not?
Just use a TI-25.
I think a G36 .22LR would be pimpin.
i want instructions on how to do that
I'm a little curious how the magazine is removed... But yeah I think I found my next project.
i think you can just stick a finger in this hole when its together and release it. you can see the release here
Looks like a pain. I guess you could always just give it the spoon treatment.
is it all plastic?
Hmmm, I wonder if this guy could be paid to do some custom work...
I'm guessing yeah, but then again so is the GSG-5 and it's $500.
$100 pawn shop 10/22
$100-$150 for airsoft body
$250 for a plinker sounds a lot more reasonable than $500. Plastic or not it would be pretty fun to shoot.
theres an airsoft store in town. i may go see what they've got
plus the enjoyment of having built it yourself.... I think it's an awesome mod.
i cant get this thread out of my head. i guess i'll start this build sometime soon
ye.. no desire to own one
That actually looks pretty cool.
That would be pretty cool to make.
Imagine all of the different models you could make.
I'd rather have an AR w/ a Spikes .22LR upper. It just makes more sense (and money ) to me to have an AR version instead. Keeping same ergonomics and all + cheap practice.
