OK I've come to the conclusion that I need a decent amp that operates like this:

    100(+)Wx4 @ 2 Ohms.

What decent amp fits these specs?

Soundstream Amps break too much, and they are being bought or something like that, but at the shop we have like 6 amps to send out to them and we cant get a hold of them. I would go Alpine V12 or zapco if you have the cash.

Well...I don't know about breaking too much..considering that my Interpid R/T has...

1 Reference 500 for the front upper mids and highs
1 Reference 500 for the front mids and rear door mids
2 Reference 300's for the front lower mids and upper bass
1 Reference 300 for the rear deck
    2 Prue-Class A's 10.0's for each of the 12" in the back.

All the amps above have been pushing hard since day 1 in '96 and various IASCA competitions

    My Montero has....

1 Reference 704 that drives everything since it's a small vehicle.

    My Wife's Grand Cherokee has.....

1 Reference 504 for the fronts and rear doors
1 Reference 300 that drives the SAS tubes.

    My brother's Blazer has....

1 USA 6ch. (can't remember which one) that drives all the mids/highs
2 Granite 120.0's that drive 2 SAS 10" tubes that hit so deep, it HZ so good!!!

I used to be a Soundstream sponsered vehicle when I had my old Interpid...

As for all my other personal cars, I use only Soundstream for amps, and Infinity's for mids/highs and JL and SAS for the bass.

All in all....I've never had a single problem with any of my Soundstream amps.

    Mad

Back in '95, I worked for a company call Bridge Info systems (now Reuters)...anywho..

I was a field network engineer and would install our financial trading systems to some of the wealthiest people in the world..

The president and founder of Soundstream had a Bridge system installed in his house, and I was the installer of the network and computer system....

we talked and chatted and before not to long, we became good friends...

I had a new '95 Dodge Intrepid and he decided to use my vehicle as the factory install vehicle for SoCal...

So yes...SoundStream gave me a bunch of amps, speakers etc.. and I would drive to IASCA events on the weekends and have fun...

I still have all the equipment out of that Interpid (totaled in accident) and it's in my new Intrepid R/T.

but my other 3 vehicles and my Wife's and my bro's car all have Soundstream amps in them.

sorry bud nothing is free ;) you have to bring the car to shows and show it off on command.. now think about this you have to bring your car somewhere OUT OF STATE on almost ALL ocasions.. oh well

my opinion is its a waste of time.. unless you have an awesome looking car and are ready to show all over the us dont think about trying to get a sponsorship.. people submit sponsorships to companys all the time.. they get denied most of the time as well

as just to make sure the most you want to spend is 300 dollars for the amp right?
what speakers are you wanting to power

why is it your wanting to obtain a 2 ohm load??

    100(+)Wx4 @ 2 Ohms.
so you want a 4 channel amp and you also are able to supply it with a 2 ohm load? the kappas are only a 4 ohm set

what exactly do you have?? 2 sets of the Kappas?
