I'm no pro, but hell some are worth a look sometimes. Hopefully this thread motivates me to keep shooting, and not to slack.

    So from last night:

Yeah.. I was out there to get some night city skyline pics, and then realized all the lookouts have a ton of trees blocking, so really had to improvise, just looked around for 2 mins and snapped these 2

For online viewing a simple white border is good. You never know what the background color of the page your posting the picture on is going to be.

I agree... there are times where a border can help... white or black depending on the picture.

True story. They're not always bad, you just gotta learn to pick and chose them wisely.

As far as your first shot, I really like...good job. The second one, I think could do without the city. Like it was mentioned, it looks too cluttered with it and I think the stairs with the street at the bottom would give for a simple yet effective shot.

Oh, and Im doing something similar to this thread but instead of uploading the images, I print out one a day. So far I've been doing it for two weeks. It's a nice way to get yourself to shoot everyday.

Yeah, I think it's really, really cool.

I have to admit, last night I was busy all day, and thought "Shit, my thred needs pics" So I just went around the house looking for something to shoot. Not much went into those, I like how they turned out though
