I was wondering how does mozilla make money?

    see that search box on the top of your browser?
    Google paid $70+ million to Mozilla just to have it there.

    Ahhhh I see...Yea I didn't really notice that until recently. When did they put that there???

    It's not just Google (though Google Search is built-in w/ FireFox), they also get affiliate fees with Amazon, ESPN, Ebay, etc.

    In short,... if you use Firefox with Amazon.com, you help Mozilla make money.

    I wonder if wikipedia pays mozilla? :big grin:

    I use that little search engine a lot, but mostly for wiki

    I'll keep using it and funding the Mozilla development with my searches. FireFox is the best Internet Browser today.
