thoroughly explained why the japanese (toyota) has such a solid build quality. if any employee spots anything that is unsatisfactory, the entire assembly line will stop until the problem is fixed.

they don't have experts for each department, rather they let the employees handle quality control. they also share duties in cleaning their work environment and keeping it clean.

they focus on quality rather than quantity. they do the job right the first time, rather then just focusing on making as many cars as they can.

americans lack discipline, and disrepect families.

so why doesn't chevy just build a plant in japan? They have them in other places. Or why not have someone from japan come manage plants here?

the only reason japanese cars are generally more reliable is that their labor is non-union, if someone does a shitty job they get fired, not like here in the states when someone can hide behind a union if they suck

i've driven my sister's lexus, camry, and my friends 800hp supra. all of them, fucking solid.

Most people would rather have performance and quality... the very reason you cant buy a 07 Camaro :mamoru:

don't forget ritual suicide if quality drops below acceptable standards.

whoever before said they didnt mind squeeks and rattles becuase they can go fast... in reality the consumer wants a car with luxury/quality and performance. THis is not present in the Fbody, hence why you cant buy them anymore.

Dumb it down enough for ya?>

the work ethic and mentality of japanese workers is that they are proud of their work and are collaborating towards the success of their company

whereas northamerican workers have an attitude of self-entitlement and they're working to make a buck -- they get paid regardless of the quality of their work
