You guys were helping me in the previous thread.

Anyways, so yeah. My whole day yesterday started when I woke up at 330am and went down to the MEPs at 530am w/ my recruiter. Big bus pulled up full of out of towners and shippers. I'm sure you guys know the process.

During the orientation, there was a army applicant who was a mirror image of a "pvt. pile (full metal jacket)" and would not sit still. Kept asking stupid questions and it looked like he was high. Was annoying everyone and the air force master sgt. who was doing the orientation was trying hard not to laugh at the guy.

The marine sgt. who was doing my paperwork, she was pretty cute. nice ass :moon:. I was a little nervous cause everyone kept telling me the consequences of lying on my paperwork and such. There were a lot of shippers, especially marines. I said good luck to all of them.

First swear in was a long wait. I didn't have my cell and I kinda felt sad no one was there to see it. I know, I know, it's only dep. But it's pretty important to me. Called my gf, she wasn't home. As I was standing in the swear in room, I noticed my recruiter had come back to see me get sworn in. That was nice of him.

"Fuckin' officer's man, they always mess up shit!" I heard my recruiter say from behind me. We were waiting for a marine captain. My recruiter and a navy petty officer kept talking shit about officers the whole time.

Finally the captain came in. It was 2 navy apps and I. Raised our right hand and swore in. I guess it sounds cheesy, but it felt good pledging allegience to protect the U.S.

Anyways, ship date is late may/early june. Gotta finish school first.

Oh can you believe there are really NO slot's open for 03 reservists in san diego!! So I chose another mos, 1812.

    M1A1 Abrams Tank Crewman!!:noes:

negative, although yes if I were admin I would have a desk. I currently work QA for the squadron. Imagine your job being to test the folks you work with on how well they know the information they are supposed to. Thats what I do.

    ^^ I'm 5'10". Borderline short, lol :wtc:

Thanks guys. I said to them in case I do ever get activated to get me in the frontline. 1812 was the next open san diego slot. It's lookin' more and more interesting when I research it. Buuuuuut, who knows. Maybe an 03 slot will open before I ship out. It's all good if not.

And to kill time in the liason office I tried making conversation w/ the hot marine sgt. I asked her if it was hoorah? Oorah? or Arrrgh!!! hehe

She said, "it's oorah, navy's hooyah, and army's hooah" I then ask what's the air force?? Everyone looks at each other and a lcpl yells out, "cha-ching!"

    what is wrong with cha-ching?
It is an ancient Chinese war cry.
Striking emotion in the hearts of men that hear it.
