where did you guys start off learning about all the functions on a camera? like what f-stop, ISO, or shutter speed to use under certain conditions?

just curious because i want to take advantage of my camera and stop using the AUTO shooting all the time.

any links would be helpful. thanks.

Take an Intro to Photography course...its very time consuming but well worth it. If you don't have the time for the course then check out the textbook that the class uses.

i would also recommend the photography class. many colleges offer continuining education courses where you can take a basic introduction class for little money. check out some of your local schools.

if not, you could do some research on the net, such as http://www.photo.net

There is a book called "The 35mm photographers handbook" that is easy to understand and contains all the information you'll ever need.

    cheers
