If you are clumsy and have never done it before... sure it's hard.

If you are mechanically inclined... easy as pie, all you need is a hammer and a wooden dowel and the front sight tool.

Or if you really want to do it rite and make it easy for a first time user, buy a sight drift tool for $89 from EGW.

You could probably have a local Glock Armorer do it for you for $25-50.

glocktalk doesn't seem to want me to register to search.

there are a few local gun smithing places around and i am new to guns in general and don't really want to mess with installing the sights myself.

is this something that a gun smithing place will likely screw up?

Anything is possible, but in all likeliness this is a very simple and easy proceedure WITH THE RITE TOOLS. It would take a complete gunsmith idiot to screw these up. Glocks are amongst the easiest to do.
