Yup, I said it. I'm a bit ashamed of it, since I know it's childish, but I know I'll hate myself if I don't try while I'm still young and healthy.

When I say uber operator, I mean stuff that you see in the movies. Navy SEAL, Delta force, etc etc.

I'm 17 right now, but I'll have my associates by the end of this school year (skipped grades), and I'll probably be accepted to a good state university as a transfer student, but the thing is, I fucking hate school. It's hell for me, so I'd rather have some time off before I go get a BA.

I already know that it's unlikely, so please please please don't come in here to flame me about being delusional. What I'd like to know is, what course of action would make my chances of becoming a badass military operator highest?

    Thanks.

I'd think the first thing you'd have to do is join the military and then become an uber-operator.

I'll bite: How is your physical ability? Are you a 300lb literal Burger King? or are you in prime physical shape?

How fast can you run two miles?

How many sit ups can you do in 2 minutes?

How many pull ups can you do, not timed?

How many push ups can you do in 2 minutes?

Post the answers to these questions and you will get people to respond seriously to this thread.

    situps 98
pushups 88 (how the fuck do you do 2 minutes straight of pushups. I crapped out at like 1:30)
    Pullups 16

    lol

you know what, I'd rather see kids who want to be ninjas than fatasses who play video games all day.

Haven't tried it myself, but obviously outstanding physical condition goes without saying, however, IMO mental endurance and fitness are more important. By that I mean the ability to cope with large amounts of stress with ease, ability to deal with harsh conditions and climates, lack of sleep etc while maintaining professionalism and skills, a high degree of mental stability, self-control, self-discipline, self-reliance and self-confidence and unquestionable reliability in the eyes of others. Ability to balance pride and humility, you have to be doing it for the right reasons, if you think its about being badass or are boastful in nature, give up now. Most important I think is the fighting spirit, nobody likes a quitter.

Not much you can do for a lot of these. I guess, at 17, you can learn map and compass :mamoru:

just to fit in the regular military infantry
that run time is going to have to get faster
those situps are going to have to increase
lol @ not being able to do pushups for 2 minutes
pullups are going to have to get better

now all of those don't count when you to an operator status but it will point you in the right direction

You might want to pick a branch first. Just a suggestion.

Well, if he can't meet Army infantry standards I would say it is safe to assume he will not be able to meet any uber operator standards.

And once again, what is it with people who just come on here and ask random ass questions like this. If you're such a smart student, you should be sharp enough to know that if you are looking into a career as say, a Navy SEAL then you should take your ass down to the library/bookstore and check out the military section.

There are fucking TONS of books (not including information on the internet) about how to get into these professions.

It's not as if I didn't do any research, lol. Books and other static resources can only tell you so much.

Not to be contrary, but could you elaborate?

I dunno what you're talking about with the first part, bro. Pretty presumptuous of you. In my case. the military would be time off from school.

    I talk shit about you...?

Honestly, at first, I thought the poster asking about my miles times and stuff was messing with me, expecting epic answers or something as some sort of inside joke about young kids being all LOLOLOL CAN DO 200 PUSHUPS MILITARY TIMEZ, but I guess I was just being paranoid, lol. I didn't even think my in shapeness would matter at this point. Wouldn't basic training get me in shape? If not, and I do need to actually start training now, could you post some goals?

Haha, minus the fighting spirit part, it kinda sounds like school... but you're right, lol, there's not much I can do about all that.

Why do I need to elborate? You stated what I mentioned right here.

Do you think the military just hands you a weapon and says go to work.
