I was just checking out one of the nice black towers by them this past week.
It had some seriously excellent attention to detail.
    Obvious quality ftw.

Hey, it might not be my cup of tea either, but that case won design awards when it came out.
And $255 is a lot cheaper than it was when it first came out.

Yeah, I don't know. I've been looking at it and it is interesting. But I can't help but picture it as a snail and it makes me lol. I also like interesting things and I'd consider buying it if I wasn't -800 in the bank right now :(. College ftl.

I have (and will again in the future) drop that much just on a case. But not that one. Not my cup-of-tea in terms of styling. Some of Lian Li's other offerings, however, are nice. I also like Silverstone.

When did the case become a piece of furniture? If you've got $300 to blow on a case, how about buying a computer for a high school kid who can't afford one and keeping your old case?

It's a waste of money, if you ask me. It might be well-built, but it's totally impractical.

Thanks. When I searched newegg, I must have put "anniversary" in the search field. They list memorial. Good ole Newegg, always cheap. $250 for it ain't bad at all. And it would be a piece of furniture.

Impractical how? The only thing it doesn't have is a removable m/b tray. And I don't change my components enough to care about that anyways. Hell, I'm still on a P4 2.8 oced to 3.1. Every 4 years is good enough.

    .

Case has just got to be good enough to keep everything cool. Then stuff it in a closet.

    Ugly.

I really like the standard Lian Li cases though.

    1. It's enormous.
    2. It's top-heavy.
    3. It can roll.
    4. There's a lot of wasted space inside on account of the round profile, which won't fit a rectangular motherboard and rectangular drives very well at all.

    Need more reasons?

Lian Li is great. If you like it why not buy it.

But it still looks good, so I'll probably end up getting it.

    these are all horrible reasons.
    1. who cares if it's big? I don't. That case is a piece of art... it is meant to be shown off, not thrown under a desk and forgotten.

    2. It's stable.

    3. It doesn't roll if you don't want it to.

    4. Who cares about wasted space? It's a piece of artwork. Not everything has to be 100% efficient. If it was perfectly efficient, it wouldn't be beautiful.

I guess we'll have to agree to disagree. All I can say is, that case makes me want to hide in a server closet.

It's an odd case, so they probably only stack a handful at any given time.
Check back in a few days.
