I want pre-workout protein

    But I'm wary about drinking ON whey because I do a pretty intense run as a warm-up. Is drinking a protein shake a bad idea if I do such?

    no..protein is good preworkout, even pre run.

    be careful how close u drink it before the workout. i do the usual 2 scoop whey, 1 cup milk, banana, oats blah blah. and if i drink it right before my workout my stomach gets queasy from the shake.

    i prefer whole foods before workout, and then powders afterward

    get free form amino acids and they don't have to spend time being digested

    I'm going to keep this dumbed down a bit.... Your preworkout meal is the most important meal, without a adqueate about of carbs, you're workout is going to suffer.


    My brother is a diabetic, sometimes just to run with me, he'll have to down a whole gatorade to maintain his level.

    Just from my xp, I may not know shit :( :mamoru:

    I prefer to eat anything about 30 minutes to 1 hour before my workout to let the food settle and begin digestion so I dont have to worry about an upset stomach, plus blood sugar levels will be more effected 30 minutes after eating as opposed to 10 mins.
