i currently have a ruger mark III hunter
i was thinking about getting the gemtech upper for it, but that badboy is $700!

a p22 with a can costs about $550, but its not nearly as reliable or accurate as my ruger

Why not just score a cheap MK* or Buckmark and sell the stock upper, and buy a Tac-Sol upper. Then you can buy a suppressor and swap between the pistol and whatever rifles you want?

Edit*** Or if you buy a conversion kit for your a fullsize gun, and run it there. I shot a AA Glock with a AAC can on it and it was the tits.

Just have your hunter barrel threaded and get a detachable can.

Pretty much all .22 cans sound the same, just get one you can disassemble for cleaning.

the hunter barrel is already 7", do you expect me to hold the gun like a rifle once it gets a can?

So cut it down to 5 inches or so :dunno:

Bulk .22 will stay subsonic in barrels under 5.5 or so'

Problem is that it's fluted. I guess it's possible to have it cut down and threaded, but you're better off to sell the hunter, get a shorter barreled MK* and then thread that.

Oh yeah, forgot about that. 22/45s are like $200-$250. I have a 5.5'' one that I'll probably cut down to 4.5 inches or so when I get it threaded.

How about a Tactical Solutions 4.5" Threaded Pac-Lite for under $300?
