But it has to be cheap, I has other things to spend the money on too. So like ~$300 or so. :hsugh:
    So far I'm considering:

    Ruger LCP
    Walther P22

Not interested in used, unless it's just THAT fantastic of a deal where I can't turn it down.

No, I haven't, but my dad's coworker bought one (i know, friend of a friend of a friend deal) He seemed pretty impressed with it. Plus, if I was going to spend money on something, it'd be something I can carry too, even the .380 is a bit underpowered for me.

Yeah .380 is a bit underpowered for a main carry gun. I was thinking it would be a nice BUG.
I'm not extremely concerned about finger placement, as it wouldn't be a primary carry gun anyway.

    I have ear protection.

I need to see one, and at the very least, feel one in person. Shooting one would be ideal.

That's what I'm hearing too. I've seen some for sale online, but they're rather scarce.
    Apparently very popular right now.

Ehhhhh..... maybe some other time. That is on my list though.
I think the only rifle I would consider spending this money on would be a Mosin probably.

ugh...the LCP's are overpriced right now too. I saw one at the gun show this past weekend - $499 WTF?!?!:ugh:

I own a P22 and when the Ruger comes down and are in stock everywhere without the intro phase inflation ill be picking one up.

Yeah I wouldn't pay $499 for an LCP. If I can't find a better price than that, then I wouldn't bother.

Cheap and gun don't mix. Put it in a savings and save up and get something you really want. It's money better spent than quick gratification you will regret later. I'd rather have 2 really nice guns than a plathora of cheap guns.

Good point. Depends on your view of "cheap". If that's the case, I think I saw a few G22's on Summit for $325.

You know, I could blow the full $900 I'll be getting (half of the $1800 my wife and I are getting combined) on one really nice gun, but like I said, I have other shit that needs attention too, and I still don't have a nice cheap plinker.

Whatever you do, don't buy training. That would be a waste of money.
