i want a fucking MEAL v. cutting is no fun

    diet week 3 :wtc: i don't understand how people can not like bulking .... i would kill someone right now for a rack of ribs, side of mashed potatoes with gravy, and some garlic bread :yum:

    this weeks cheat meal is scheduled for friday and i'm counting the hours.

    that being said, i generally have no problem sticking to a diet and i'm already starting to lean out.

    i took this picture a little over 1 weeks ago for the back thread we had going

    so anyway i thought i might update this periodically with some pictures every once in a while over the next 12 weeks or so, for myself and anyone else that may be interested.

    i made this here and not in the log section , since i won't be updating anywhere near daily or with detailed training logs, but go ahead and move it there if that would be more appropriate.

    i honestly dont see a big difference. they could have been taken 5 mins apart for what it's worth.

    however it often takes 2 weeks of cutting to start seeing results. just stick to it.

    also, jesus ur right lat is bigger than your left. maybe it's just the pose but it looks that way from behind as well to me.

    yeah it's only a weeks difference, i just wanted to start the thread with what i had and i'll be updating as i go.

    they are the same size more or less, it's just the lighting and angle

    not too much of a difference yet, but give it some more time. Your lats look great and once you trim down the size on your waist they will look even better. From the pics I remember seeing of you about a year ago you have improved VERY well.

    yup, not complaining. i didn't know if it was jsut the pictures or what. you look great. give it a few weeks. it sucks but hey, no easy way out.

    +1 on the cutting sucks. I'm only 3 days in... and my birthday is friday. I donno wtf i'm going to do w/ cake sitting right in front of me on friday....

    You gotta mix it up man.

    One day I will do Fajita's with grilled chicken, sliced red and green peppers, low fat cheese, cilantro, and hot sauce in a low fat, low carb, whole wheat tortilla.

    Another day do a stir fry with chicken and veggi's and maybe some brown rice.

    Another day grill the chicken up in some italian seasonings and throw that over a whole wheat pasta

    Another day do a chicken salad with low fat dressing and fat free crouton's.

    You just need to keep variety. Also, it helps to incorporate other meats too. Get some pork chops with the fat cut off.... or some salmon, or the starkist tuna (not in a can) in the packet is great. The lemon herb and spicy tuna is great.

    Yeah, this helps too. If you go from a bulking cycle or from eating like a slob to cutting calories literally in half you will have a tough time. Take it slow. If you were taking in 4,000 a day on bulk, go 1-2 weeks at 3500, then 1-2 weeks at 2500, then after that dive down to your maintenance depending on what it is (mine is 1800)

    so far, so good. i'm at around 2500 cals per day now. I'll probably add some type of stimulant-type supplement in the coming weeks...and maybe even a little light cardio :eek3:

    fortunately based on my first time cutting i seem to be able to retain muscle and strength pretty well during the cut.

    my squat has gone way down. i'm on week bajillion of cutting and i've lost about 5 lbs. i suck at teh cut :wtc:

    reduced calories obviously, but i'm much more restrictive about what i eat. not so much because i feel that i need to eat super "clean" but because i want to be able to track my intake and macro's pretty closely and i can't easily do that without keeping a relatively simple diet.

    When i'm bulking i pretty much eat whatever i want. I don't track calories but i am naturally inclined to eat somewhere around 4000+ per day. I just make sure i'm getting enough protein, supplement with a couple of shakes if necessary, and don't worry about the rest.

    yeah, it's easy. it just sucks, especially since i have an enormous appetite.
