Probably looking more at the Camaro with my price range (around $2k or less). Test drove a 94 Camaro last night, it was pretty cool except I got lost lol. Can anyone help me find one in the Dallas, TX area? Generation doesnt matter, although for that price, the late 80s/early 90s seem to be the most common. Doesnt matter if its only V6, I could swap it out later. I just need a running Camaro/Firebird.

How much money do you have to spend? I honestly wouldn't buy anything less than a 98 being that it comes with the best engine, and least amount of mechanical problems.

I think you need to go read up some more on what you are buying.

You're going to spend a lot of money to make an '84 nice. And v6's were offered all throughout the 80's.

It was an inline4. I'd rock one of those iron dukes. :noes:

I say buy a 3rd Gen Camaro or Firebird, save up money, then drop in an LS1.

Get a 3rd gen or later... There's aftermarkets to put an LS1 in 3rd gens, and you can just find a donor car to put it in the 93-97's.

What was wrong with his post (except for the fact that the 98s had a lot of issues that the 99+ did not)?
