I'm hopelessly addicted to bjj. Halp.

there's always an escape, you just have to find it
i wish i can train 7 days a week
I love it.
7 days? did you just start? alot of the noobs who have just started come in 5 days a week, then i don't see them ever again in about 1-2 months.
Started late January... been doing about 18-20 hours a week since then.
if youre training hard enough, youll need a break
Good for you. I'll go through spurts....training like 15-20 days in a row without a break. But every once in a while, take a day off, especially if you "don't really feel like going."
Push yourself through it every single time, and you'll get burned out.
This is something to stress. People think its backing down because youre sore, and tired. Your body is sore and tired for a reson, it has little to do with your mental mindset. If you need rest, get it, it will be more beneficial to your training then training itself.
i trained for 8 days a week once. i was lost and confused afterwards.
I do fairly well with metering my tolerance before "burning out". I've had a few whole weekends off, and never "force" myself to go, it's just something that I am now used to looking forward to everyday, and I'm enjoying it, so what the hell.
I do jiu jitsu because I enjoy it, if I didn't enjoy going, I wouldn't go. I just happen to be more motivated than most, and I enjoy "putting in time", so I do.
mentally i could go for 7 days a week, but my body says no. i even had to cut back on heavy lifting since bjj is pretty hard on the body.
I'm young. Some days I don't roll for as long (or hard) as others.
i dont see this as a bad thing- GJ
