He bought a new 2003 Accord yesterday and called an audio shop near work and they want $100 so swap out the factory radio. He has an aftermarkt HU already so that $100 is just for a faceplate, wiring adapters and install.

Please tell me this is a ripoff. I can't see it being more than $50-60.

It depends. Face plates and wiring adapters can cost as little as $15 and can get as high as $200 (from what I have seen). I doubt the one for the honda will be over $70. So, take the price of the faceplate and add $20 - $50 for installation.

the new accord has an odd looking radio/dash area. so it might be custom...
