today was the first day i was actually able to somewhat see myself from the side with the bar on my back. what i saw was pretty interesting. when i unrack the weight and step back to get in position to squat, i noticed that the bar seems to be sitting where it should but from the point the bar is and above i slouch. not my lower back or anything below the bar, but it seemed like everything above the bar was. i guess it feels like it's supported more by standing like this. is this bad? i'm quite sure it is, but i don't understand how the bar can stay on my back if i straighten out anymore.

any advice? the weight wasn't too heavy because yesterday was light squat day, so that's not really an option.

the weird thing is, i'm pretty damn sure that when i actually perform the squat my form is correct. it's only when i'm at the top position that i seem off

seems to be resting on my traps and shoulder area to me. hard to explain. if i put it any lower it feels like it's going to fall off.

there should be a ridge for the bar to sit in, probably lower than your current bar placement.

i'll give it a shot tomorrow. it seems like it seems in something like what you're describing already, but i'll try adjusting it. that seems like the only logical thing really. maybe i'll try and have my mom bring my digital camera and take a video of me squatting. i'm gonna feel like such a dumbass getting a video taken of me in the gym
