    ok..so i asked before and now i know what i need to do.


    i think this is what i want so far. money? no more than 1k-1500 ok..here it goes....

    I bought the deck
    Alpine cda-9827

    sub? ea. 12" should i get 1 or 2?

    comes w/ 2apline sws-1242D 900W $?
    or
    diamond d612d4 1200W $150

    amp
    infinity ref. 7541a $170

    speakers

    Front
    focal 165a 2 way+ tweeters at 6.5"->$200
    focal 165v 2 way + tweeters at 6.5 ->225
    boston sl60 2 way componet 220w 6.5 -> 200

    idk on back. help?

    Buy better fronts, and no rears. Go for one sub unless if you care about trunk space. Audition first.

    i thought focal was good. what would u say? and my backs don't even work. i was planning for one sub as well

    better as in a higher end of the particular brand you're looking for. So the Focal line is fine, but get one of the more elite (read more expensive) higher quality sets. Give them tons of juice (like 100w+) bi-ampped if possible. and what kind of music do you listen to? The D6 is a great sub if you listen to stuff with real punchy tight bass (kick drum) Don't bother with Diamonds at all if you listen to rap with boomy bass (Dirty south rap). They'll sound like shit and not perform the way you expect them to.

    ok so...i went to a diff. car audio store today and this is what i think i have so far. i listen to rap. not like heavy duty gangsta rap..more like talib kweli and mos def and dead prez...and some kanye.

    speakers- either

    boston a. 2 way compent -FS60 6.5/ 6 1/2" 2-way car Speakers N->$130
    or
    focal FOC 165A->$200

    Amp

    alpine mrv f340 4ch.->$200(if i get this one ill have to find a 2 ch. prob from alpine to...is it true that they're really good?)

    jl audio e6450-6 ch.->$267

    i'd do the jl 6ch amp. i've always liked 5/6 ch amps in simple installs.
