Then start charging $10,000+ for weddings based on that.

A good friend of the wife and I is so materialistic, she doesn't see past the facade of things. She booked a photographer out of "NYC" who took the absolute cheesiest pics of their wedding 2 weeks ago, it makes me feel ashamed to have allowed myself to not say something when I saw their site the first time. Oh well, their wedding, their pictures. :o

I'm tellin' ya... there are some badass photogs out there charging some great money. Then you have idiots that sell you the dream and take snapshots. Makes me want to know what kind of koolaid they're giving their customers.

At least you have the name for it. "Sassani" sounds like an international man of mystery. "Colman" sounds like Mustard.

I don't know, maybe its just not in my nature to bullshit people and to think being talented is a bit more important.

the one thing I don't understand is how some people can actually buy images from some photographers. I've seen images that come out and look like utter crap that even when I was at my worst just starting I made better images...yet these people are somehow selling images?:wtf:

They paid a ton of money for this guy. all the poses, cheesy. all the group shots, snapshot-ish. all the ceremony pics look like they were spray and pray style. None of the pcis look like they had any thought or talent going into it. I don't get it... people fucking like this shit? who knows.

I didn't want to bother them w/ my services because like I said, materialistic. I'm sure they didn't think someone as "inexperienced" as me could do their wedding. But they were quick to drool over KDubb's and Dallas wedding I did when they saw the pics... but who knows, maybe they were being nice. :dunno:

who knows man...I also chalk up a lot of comments to the "show me" category. People will say "oh this image is so great, I'm gonna buy the print", then never do. Or models who say "let's shoot together soon" then you email them and they don't respond, or whatever. My response to models is "Pick a date, don't care what it is just pick it and then we'll work out the minor details afterwards. But let's get the date set in stone first."

in other words....people talk a big game, but don't always back it up:o
