    The first series was golden...
This new run is shock value for the sake of shock value.

5 issues in and we've seen old woman tits, ridiculously unnecessary amount of violence and more full blown cussing than dialogue...

Which I can look past... usually.

Up until the little kid gets his throat slit. I'm dropping this title for the same reason I didn't finish 'Crossed' after the kindergarten children got massacred.

    :ugh: seriously... wtf.

I actually don't mind that whole thing with the kid or anything... :dunno:
Maybe it's just because i'm somewhat insensitive. I'm still going to read it, if only because Bullseye is in it now :bigthumb:

Who is writing this now? I have purposefully overlooked it since Ennis left.

Jason Aaron, but it's definitely not typical of him. It's like he's in Ennis' playground, and is using the most twisted parts of it. All of Aaron's Marvel stuff seems to be falling off a bit.

    i stopped when garth left.

jason aaron is an excellent writer and a good fit at marvel, but scalped is 100x better than anything he's done there.

That Ghost Rider run was matchless (but you're right, nowhere near the caliber of Scalped). I think I'm judging him unfairly, cos he scored that brilliant job pretty early on in his time with Marvel. Hard to beat.

There's a severe difference between a drawing that depicts an explosion wiping out a school and a picture of a young kid's throat being sliced open as he cries to his dad for help. . .
