Despite a general misgiving about KelTec.
Why not spend a lil more for an AR? Unless your somewhere like Cali I dont really see a reason to get one when you can have an AR
Because I don't really want one.
It's a rifle I can break down and hike with, using USGI magazines I liberated plenty of from Mother Green, in an inexpensive caliber with a lot of of features I like. Integrated bipod, spare mag carrier, tough exterior finish, picatinny rail for optics.. all that for a couple hundred less than an AR seems like not a bad deal to me.
Ok yeah I can see the point if you want something you can break down quickly and get backtogether quickly in a pack or something I guess. Based off msrp I'm guessing you can get them for $600ish?
I'm seeing as low as 459 on Gunbroker. It seems to be a little less accurate than I am, but hell, a beater .223 that'll shoot 1.5" at 100.. not bad, I don't think.
$459 aint bad at all.
It's getting better and better.. check it:
Nice looking setup, I'de like to get a beta but still living under the AWB in this state. Not familar with that pistol though, 22?
Ruger Mark 2 .. or 22/45 modded.. hard to tell, as I'm not familiar with them. Yeah, .22LR.
I told you you need to get the hell out of NY. Better weather down South, too
Working on it may have a job lined up down in Fl, still rather goto TX though. Guess the keltec dont look to bad growing on me a bit but only if the price is right anything around $600 or more I'de just look for a used m4gery.
And the SU-16CA has a threaded barrel from the factory.. that just begs for a suppressor..
Shit, I'm saving up again.
Pushing 2 pins in doesnt take too long .
What caliber is it?
NM, i saw the link and went to it. Looks like a nice substitution for an AR
Same size thread pattern as an AR?
I know it doesn't take that long. I also know just what's exposed to the elements, and how often the bolt likes to fall out. I'm just nonplussed when it comes to most ARs.. USMCsilvers being the rare exceptions. I feel the same way about Glocks.. they're just.. meh. I like rare, well designed shit that most people don't have.
Don't know, but here is a DIY kit for barrel threading...
