my buddy has a total gym here in houston that I've been working out on while on holiday and I started figuring out how to do some good movements on it... I don't have anything to do cable exercises in my gym for home, and since you can modify the norrisifier to add plates to your bodyweight, I am seriously considering trying to get one stupid cheap on ebay. I can see how adding these exercises now and again would accelerate my progress.

I have MS and it fucks me up from time to time. Usually makes it where I can't drive for a few months. Had to quit the gym membership and just gym for home so I can keep on it steady instead of crapping out every few months.

oh and I meant the total gym, the thing chuck norris hawks

The total gym is a waste of time/money. You'd be much better off getting an olympic bench, bar, and 300lb weight set. The one I have has crutches that are adjustable enough to do squats with.

Hey if you like it and you can use it get it. I have seen it, but never used it. Everyone makes fun off not real weights and blowflex. But in all honestly if you use them you will see gains.

I used a Bowflex for quite a while. I can honestly attest to it being a pile of crap in my eyes.

ok so you made NO gains using if for a while??? what's a while? I agree I don't like it but I'm sure it works. Not like free weights but with constent use there are gains.

Chuck Norris helped the Egyptians construct the pyramids using a primitive form of the Total Body Gym exercise machine to lift giant stone blocks up great heights.

I think my parents have had it going on 4 years now. The weight is so non-linear it's not even funny. I can rep 200+ on it like it's not shit, when in reality if I was trying to rep the 220 or so I usually put on it to mess around, I'd get 2 or 3 and be done. The cables seem to rub the tops of your arms when you bench, and in theory it really should work well. For me, it just didn't.

I can honestly say that I didn't really get shit out of using it. The range of motion is good, and it's nice to not need a spotter to go until failure, but in the long run, it's not worth the 2000 bucks or whatever they cost.

If he's set on one, I bet you could find a used one for under 500 dollars and then get some real weights too.

yeah prolly. I told him if he'd figure out how much we could spend I'd find the equipment. I know I could come up with shit cheap.
