I think I have a hernia

    I've been lifting pretty hard the past couple weeks and 3 days ago I started to feel a cramping pain in my upper left ab. It gets worse when I take a deep breath.

    Should I go to the doctor? Anyone had one before.

    I Just looked up hernias on google and got scared shitless, I hope my organs aren't all fucked up.

    I was just going to leave for the gym to do arms now but now I'm pretty freaked out.

    Should I go to the er?

    My abs were pretty fucking sore in the same spot a few days ago, like the deep ones, after a good ab workout.

    But this shit isn't going away

    does it hurt when you take a shit? i thought i had one a few years ago and thats the first question my dr. asked me. turns out it was just a strained muscle and I needed to rest for a couple of weeks for it to heal.

    i'm no expert, but i'd stop lifting for a few days and see what happens. if its still there, go to the doc.

    No need to go to the ER if you're not in intense pain.
    It could just be a strained ab.

    I would hold off on lifting until you see a doc to make sure.

    I was getting freaked out looking at all the fucked up twisted bulgin organ stuff on wiki.

    Damn, I was starting to put up some good numbers too.

    Whenever you look up anything on the internet (medically) you usually get a worst case scenario.

    Hernias are pretty common. I know 4 people personally (that I talk to regularly) that have gotten operations done in the last year or two. It's not going to kill you or severely hurt you in most cases.

    Just stop worrying about it and see a doc as soon you can to be sure.

    i had this happen to me about 2 months ago...mid cycle. thought it was my liver...ended up being a torn intercoastal muscle. take a week of and see how you feel. took me 3 or so weeks to recover, afterwards, i ripped my other side. FFFUUU horrible luck. best thing to do, take acouple of days off from everything, then start light stretching. stretching really helped me.

    i my best opinion, i would say that if you had bulging organs you surely would not be here posting wondering if you should seek help. you probably would have had a hard time getting home from the gym...i hear that stuff is really super painful :eek3:
