    I can't get any color in his eyes in direct sun, much less in this type of picture. :hs:

    dark eyes suck when it comes to detail. :o

    I'm always lazy and don't use flash unless I reaaaaaaaally feel like it. :hs:

    Might try it tomorrow if he's in the mood. :)

    thats one big thing i've noticed when taking photos of my kids. my daughter has brown eyes and my son has blue eyes, and his eyes just pop so much more in photos. i have to get my g/f out there with a reflector in order to get 1/4 as much detail in her eyes as i do his.

    so i'm the only one who really likes the solid black eyes with the softbox/window looking catchlight?

    Almost makes it ok that the skin tone in the majority of the face is missing.


    actually, I do like the high contrast in this shot.

    When I was doing the PP, colors were all jacked up so I converted to b&w. The more contrast, blacks, exposure, and brightness I added, the more the eyes and the mouth popped out. So I sharpened a little more, put more contrast, and what you see is what came out.

    :rofl: I'm not hairy, but I am midde eastern, so the genes are there.

    I had decent light and he was on my lap, so I had to use a decntly low aperture. And he's 4 months now!
