So the momemt i have been waiting for has arrived they upgraded the processors on powerbooks its time to order. I have already decided on the 12" combo drive here are a few questions.
1.I think i want 1.25 gigs of ram for my own selfish reasons but i was going to do it by myself until i looked at crucial.com and it was 479 for a gig stick which is a little pricey. Does anyone know where i can get a good gig stick for less than apple can do it for?
2.Is the ram the same from when the 12" powerbooks had 1.2 gig processors? I cant see why they would have changed but you never know.
3.How is iwork, is office worth the extra 100 bucks or should i go with iwork?
4.Any final advice before i take the plunge ? I cant wait!

thanks alot for putting up with my stupid questions

    thanks
    keenan

1gig is a big uprade unless u do ALOT of video work

i have 512 on mine i could probaly use another 256, u should buy another 512 stick and u should be good, alot of other "off brand" ram work, even crucial memory is alot cheaper most of the time, if u just search around

i want your extra 3rd spearker on your powerbook for mid ranges:wtc:

the new ones have 3 speakers !?!?!?

dont get ram from apple, NO MATTER WHAT

its over priced, go to newegg.com or froogle.com

i suggest you take the 512 and wait a year when you feel like the comp is lowing down (if you even do) and then upgrade to 1.25, it will feel like a new comp :bigthumb:
