first things first, make sure your windows box is using the workgroup mshome also
to do that, right click on my computer, select properties, then goto the computer name tag. it should show you there, if not, there is a button that will allow you to change it
    turn off windows firewall
have you tried pinging from one to the other?
in windows, type cmd in the run box. from there type ping 192.168.1.104 (which should be your mac's ip address, from your screen shots)
while your at it, type ipconfig /all, and remember that address

then hit apple+space and type in terminal under spotlight
type ping (ip address of windows box)

if you can't ping, it means that you are either not on the same network or your on different subnets

post your results and i can help you further

Goto Finder and press CMD+K. Then type smb://192.168.1.104 and see if that works. If it does it must be the notorious bug Finder has with finding things :hsugh:.

    Anyways best of luck.

thats why i never use the cd that is included with dsl/cable broadband installation packs. i always call the company and setup my username and password, otherwise, you install it and you get tons of bloatware and crap

glad to hear that you fixed it
