Anything that has sugar i don't eat anymore for the past 2 weeks. I've lost maybe a pound or two. Shouldn't i be losing more or will it take alot of time? Take in mind that i used to eat 2 packs of poptarts a day, 4-5 sodas, and maybe 1-2 other snacks with sugar.

Fat takes a while to totally lose. Maybe you are thinking of water weight, in which you can lose 11ty pounds in two days. I am betting your diet, even without all that extra sugar, isn't too great, either.:hsugh:

Just limiting your sugar intake won't cause you to lose a significant amount of weight. You need to factor in overall diet, excersise and rest. You will hear this over and over again, basically to lose any weight you need to expend more calories than you consume. So move your ass!

Water consumption is a huge factor too (it aids digestion and prevents the loss of "water weight" as Jeezus referred to).

cutting out sugar alone won't make you lose weight. When I'm running 40+ miles a week I eat shitloads of gummi candy and poptarts and still drop pounds.

What's your overall calories look like? Are you tracking your protein, fat and carbs?

You need to reduce total calories - not just sugar.

Pointless removing sugar and just making up for it with other things. You can still get fat from healthy foods if the total calories are too much.

Why not post up your diet on www.fitday.com and post the total calories, carbs, fats and protein up here? That way we can give you better advice.

theres no way you're not eating any sugar. Unless all you eat is oats.

As long as calories out > calories in, you will loose weight. For example, if you need about 2500 to maintain, consuming only 2000 will make you loose weight. Avoiding carbs and doing cardio will just speed up the progress.
