Temporarily, my left glute (butt cheek I guess you'd call it) muscle gets very painful when I squat anything over 150 pounds, and I've tried to work on my form, saw a trainer (who wasn't that great unfortunately) and it just seems to get worse as I go heavier, so I'm stopping until I can get trained properly because I think its a flaw in my form - anyone have any idea what could cause this? I keep my feet a little closer than shoulder width, even (not one in front of the other), pointed in very slightly and keep my back how its supposed to be etc, anything that would normally lead to pain in one side of the ass? I do deadlifts on the same day and feel it during them too btw, but not bad at all.

Find the local massage school and get some deep tissue massage to aid in the healing because something is obviosly fucked up. Also, cosider seeing a chiro as you could have some alignment issues which might cause the one sided pain.

I've talked to him and he definatly knows what he is doing but his discount doesn't bring the price below $10. One of the guys I lift with is in the clinic over at Life so he knows whwats going on from a lifters point of view, which is nice. I'm definatly going to look into the Atlanta School of Massage, thanks for the heads up.
