He's one of my favorites.

Edit: he has an incredible ability to make peoples' eyes "pop," even if sometimes there are multiple people in the frame.

HOW DOES HE DO THAT? I feel it's got to be more than perfect focus.

    Any thoughts?

I'm certain he must do SOME PS, but there's still talent here.

I suspect he messes with the saturation some, but can you guys think of what else he might do? I emailed him once and but he just said appreciated the compliments but didn't want to go into how he post-processed his images. (Don't blame him.)

Levels, contrast, layer adjustments, selective saturation, vignetting

I could do that pretty easily...

Sure. You can definitely see the selective saturation with the kids in the robes.

What do you think he needs to do in front of the camera though? Looking at EXIF is one thing (usually he's around f/3.x) but I wonder what else he does. :dunno:

Takes several shots possibly to blend as well.

He's got some good photos but the processing really ruins them for me.

He's definitely talented. His post processing isn't my style though. I hate it when people's eyes are so overdone they look like glass marbles.

I like the pics, his composition, and the coloring. Not a fan of eyes that are too poppy... they look fake. I just like to have sharp lenses that take sharp pictures. :o

I like it that way. Maybe that's his thing too.

Pro retouch from Kubbota art has a wonderful "eye pop" feature. I use it alot. You can see the "before and after" effect on the shot of the bride

Ah no wonder the name sounded familiar. I thought it was a different Manny. Heard about him here locally. His pictures are great, but the PP isn't my style either.

That makes it seem like a little dodge on the eyes and some vignetting. :dunno: What else does it do? :)
