Anyone try this? Is this a good way to start to get back into shape?
If I knew what a couch 5k was.
sitting on the couch eating 5,000 calories a day is a good way to bulk.

No, it sounds like a 5-k training program for beginners. Probably will not burn tons of fat, but you will be able to finish a 5-k by the end. Try Hal Higdon's plan as well at http://www.halhigdon.com/5K%20Training/5-Knovice.htm

you can burn fat that way.. but it's not really the best. and it gets boring
Sorry to bump an old thread, but did you like that plan? It's ok at the beginning, then you're running 3/4 mile and the next day they're like "run 2 miles"
i didn't read this article, but this is pretty much how i started running last year.
you can run or do whatever you like but you're not going to lose shit unless you're in a deficit.
