i set up my very first network!!

    Folks of this forum, thank you all very much.

    I had asked a bunch of questions a month or so back about setting up a home network in preparation for this day. Now I have a simple 2-computer network in my apartment, one running XP Home and the other running XP Pro. Yes, it was HELLA simple and probably very elementary for you guys, but I'm very proud of myself. :bigthumb:

    And let me tell ya, the "Search" function is a godsend. :)

    good stuff. I've set up a network between two computers but i just finally got a real network up (bsd4.5 box) in my house. Feels good when yer all done

    yea, i actually want to find out more about linux (since i know absolutely ZERO about it) and try my hand at it a little bit. :)
