I see that some of you get worried when you have to miss a week of training...

    If you MUST miss a week of working out, is it REALLY that serious?

    yes it is. I once went on a biz trip and the hotel that I was at did'nt have a gym. I seriously freaked the fuck out.

    It doesn't bother me much but I usually don't respond well to getting a week off to stimulate gains. Anything over a week and I begin to lose strength fast.

    is this for medical reasons or are you just not going to be near a gym?

    i read a good article somewhere of workouts you can do when you arent around a gym... i'll dig it up if thats the case

    other than that a week off won't kill you. I usually feel wierd when I cant hit the gym, but the only downside is some extra soreness the week you get back... maybe a slight dip in strength that you have back by the next week

    Occasionally having a week off is a good thing. I don't take enough breaks as is.

    I start to go nuts, but as far as losing gains it doesn't matter a whole lot.

    make sure and eat big on your week off and you should be fine...you'll run into trouble if you starve yourself AND don't lift though...say goodbye to size and strength

    If you are prone to losing muscle and strength, one week is a big deal. I missed a week of arms/chest and now my max bench dropped by 25lb. :wtc:
