i workout at my university gym and for the first time after ~3 years i saw 3 different groups of people doing deadlifts at the same time. :eek3:

i rarely see anyone do DLs at all and tonight i see 3 different groups of kids do them, and there wasnt any room left to do them either. i think these frat boys are finally catching on even though they were lightweights. saw one big dude do 405 x 5-6 though.

People look at me weird when I do sumo deadlifts. They think I'm cheating and my rom is so small. :wtc:

Sorry...what i wrote was poorly phrased:

He has been lifting for a long time and knows what he is doing and can lift a fair amount.

I on the other hand am the one who is lifting the 95lbs....but if it makes it any better I had ACL reconstructive surgery in June.

Seriously, that weight is for babies. If your friend has been lifting for a year and can only handle 95 lb DL's...well shit, hes just a retard.

yea, probly. The problem i have with d/l and even more with squats is that i have a tendency to lean on my good leg, which just makes my good leg even stronger then my bad leg. So for both squat and d/l i keep low weights so that i dont lean on my good leg which would just increase the strength gap between my good and bad leg. When i do leg curls and extensions on the machine though i only do my bad leg so as to try to make it catch up.

i really should have explained this all in the first post so i didnt get flamed...ahh well

    no one's flamin' ya..

dont lean anymore on your bad leg than on your left.. try to stay balanced

Does your Knee still hurt when you do DLs? If does then I would suggest what any doctor would "If it hurts don't do it". What did the doc say about recovery time?

Work on your form with weight that is not painfull. I would also suggest a knee brace if you not already using one.

Brace would help I would imagine. DL's put stress on you knees.
