Now underconsignment the guy selling it wanted 3000. Now I can understand that this rifle is at least 10 years or older and hasn't been imported for a long time, but is it really worth that much?

Nope. The going price is about $1,800 to $2,400 depending on condition.

Unless it is some rare variant that price is a bit high. It's still a very nice rifle.

It was nice except I didn't know anything about. Does HK chrome their barrels?

HK ought to make their barrels out of gold for what their products cost.

I sold my AUG, bought an HK93.

    Still miss the AUG.

Side note, I remember showing my AUG to some folk, and one guy proceeded to tell me that mine was not a "real" AUG. I bought a very very early one shortly after they became available that was imported by Interarms circa 1984/1985, and he was convinced that because it was stamped by Interarms, it was not an AUG. Jeez.

wait, is that a select-fire trigger group, with a set trigger? that's retarded. and if it's a semi-only trigger group and it costs that much, it's just that much more retarded. in fact, HK prices period are retarded.

Especially the price of a PSG-1. Some guy came buy my dad's office saying he had a bad ass HK sniper rifle that he wanted to get rid of. When dad saw the rifle and the $12,000 price tag that the guy wanted, needless to say my dad laughed at him and sent him on his way.
